My stories

How I started

The importance of reading.

Writing is growing into you

When I first began writing, everything was different, from how I saw the world to how the world was looking down at me. When you’re a child or a teenager, your only goal is to be accepted and find hobbies that save you from solitude. The immense aloneness of teenage years is the gasoline I’m using daily for the stories I create.

Then something happened

Writing stories.

It wasn’t like an apparition, a Saint Something giving me the gift of writing, nothing magical or immediate. I just opened my eyes every day, and I dreamt about writing. I filled up thousands of sheets of words. Maybe I just wanted to speak to myself in an intimate way that I couldn’t find in anyone else.

And you’re all by yourself

When started, a singer needs a style, a genre to compare to, the same it’s for writing. There’s no one there helping you, telling you how you need to write, who’s your perfect reader. It’s just you and your writing. And an immense number of books to read, that’s true. Hundreds of books just to learn, hundreds to get adjusted, and hundreds to find your favorite voices.

No, no citations

I know what you’re probably thinking in the back of your head: now Daniele is going to recite some famous writer, so this all chat starts being more meaningful. Nope, nothing like that, mate. I’m going to post below the link to my stories that you can find on the Flyingstories website as well. What else? Have a good read and don’t forget to comment from time to time, so I know you’re not a mere statistic on my Google analytics.

Enjoy!
