This is where I start speaking about me in third person. Weird, uh? Early years
Born in Cagliari in 1987, he suddenly started to speak a language, later called "Daniele Frau" (all rights reserved). After 18 long years he had his diploma in Teaching and Psychology and he was ready for University.
University
First, the University of Cagliari, where Daniele Frau graduated in Languages for International Communication. He studied Arabic and English, and Russian (A1) and Chinese (A1) in external university courses. In the meantime, in 2007 and 2009, he decided to perfectionate the Arabic language in Tunis. Why Tunis? Simply because he was already working and living by himself, and Bourguiba University is a cheap but high standard university.
University/2
But Daniele Frau wasn't so happy about it. He wanted more. Arrived in Rome in 2010, decided to enter first in ISIAO (Institution for Africa and Orient), while he finished the Three Years Diploma in Arabic Language, and then in Roma Tre University. Here he studied Arabic and English and graduated in 2014.
Workwise
Daniele Frau (which is still me speaking in third person) started early to work. Really early, 14 y/o. Later on he decided to start with selling, with good results, but it wasn't enough. His dream was translating and writing, and step by step started collaborating with websites, blogs and translating offices.
Today
Today Daniele Frau is currently flying around the world working for a famous airline, taking inspirations for his books. Yes, started in 2018, Flyingstories.org is now the main website he's running. The first story is about a dealer of soul, but step by step more stories will come (in Italian and English).
In January the Italian version of the book Souls Alive become a real book (I mean, with a cover and all). Have a look!
Stay tuned!
That's about it, my friends. If you want to have more detailed information, just check the Linkedin of Daniele Frau. Boring stuff, though. I worked, I studied, I worked again, I studied again.

The urge to read

A book is a journey

I was six years old, I was sitting in my room when I realized that reading was the indestructible boat I needed to explore every ocean in the world. It didn’t mean I didn’t need to move. Most of the people start with the assumption that reading is quite dull and static activity, although I thought the opposite. I felt it back then, and I still believe this is true.

A book makes you travel

Reading must be more than just taking ideas passively from a stranger. It must be a journey, an adventure. And as any traveler experienced, you end up penniless (tickets costs, as well as books, have a price), but empowered. The experience, the travel you just made, must give you memories you’d use in times of need.

A good book

What a good book is, then, it’s all about your taste. A few days ago a colleague of mine told me:

My favorite writer ever is J.K. Rowling.

This is the kind of reader I’d call an emotional reader. It doesn’t matter the style, the message of the story, the layers the writer carefully put one over the other. No, the essential part is how she felt when she was young, and she read those lines for the first time. That journey never ceased for her.

What a great book looks like?

So it’s time to see another critical expression: this is a great book. Think about the travel, which travel do you remember as a great one, and what do you recollect as being just ok? The same stands for reading a book. The great books are the ones that, for different reasons, opened a small door, let us cry or laugh, comforted us like a good friend.

The lake

I called the book a journey, but I can say it’s a lake as well. What a story and a lake have in common?

And a matryoshka? Keep reading, and you’ll discover soon!

Anime Vive

L’idea

Anime vive_ Daniele Frau_libro Anime vive_ Daniele Frau_libro

Buona lettura,

Daniele Frau

Russian!

Russian language

Finally, I did it. After years of dreaming about going back to study Russian, I finally did and with good results. Having a Russian wife helped me, you say? Yes, probably. But you need at the same time to have the will of studying every single day, reading and listening in Russian. And in the last two years I did, more or less every day.

A lot of website

Honestly, if you speak English, there a so many different kind of website and resources to study languages. Youtube is a goldmine if you know what su search. If you’re Italian the number of website and resources are less and less easy to find. But, still you can find something. Few years ago, a person coming from a small city, like myself, couldn’t possibly imagine to study languages such Arabic or Russian. Now it’s quite normal to do so.

The right one

I tried Rosetta Stone, Assimil, and many more. I must say, now my favourite is russianpod101.com . I find it complete, up-to-date and full of resources. Now I have even a personal teacher following me and pushing me to improve my Russian. She asked me to take an exam (not the easiest one, I must say) few weeks ago, and I was surprised when I discovered I passed it.

Every now and then I was thinking if it was right to put new stuff on this big ocean called Internet. With flyingstories I decided not to put anything else if not some stories from our travels around the world, some languages courses and some stories coming straight from my fantasy. What else? Just have a look!

How hijack technology!

How hijack tecnology!

How technology hijacked us

Some days ago I was wondering about technology has changed our lives. At dinner’s time we are used to speak about the day, at school or at work. Now everyone is technology- addicted. Tv, I-something and computers are our new friends. Sometimes we’re more close to a friend 3000 km away than our father or mother.

A great idea

So, using the same technology sometimes I hate, I’ve discovered a new invention which makes me smile. I’m talking about the pepper hacker. It is or it is not the wonderful idea ever?

Let’s look to this video and have a nice day!

New Birth

Today we’re experiencing the second birth of radio. Almost 120 years had passed (119 years, precisely) since Guglielmo Marconi discovered this incredible media. Today, after years of silence, radio kills the tv stars!

Some statistics

News technologies are changing the world in many fields, and media and marketing is the most changeable of this fields. Many people says “radio is a dead media, without future”. But you know what? I don’t think that, and statistics support my thesis. As I’ve already explained in my posts in other blogs, web radio is increasing every day its audience and people working in media/                         communication have to know that. Who says that? Statistics, like that.

Italy, Europe, USA, World?

Nowadays with web radio stations is not easy to know precisely what our audience is. Every countries have different cultures and different approaches, and as usual different statistics. In Germany for example stats reveal a 10% teenagers using web radio not just for music, but for information, too. Pandora, iheart e itunesradio are the most used worldwide radio platforms.

How to open a radio

Launch a new radio channel has never been so easy. You have just to follow a course, in which you understand the basis of radio and then you’ll become a speaker! I did the same and the last week I get started with my idea to have a show (I did it in Rome) with singers, actors and dancers ON AIR! And you know what I experienced? People LOVE radio!

Ciblog

I’ve made a new blog, Ciblog. All graphics are mine and original, made using the app Canvas. This app is so useful and you are able after few minutes to create something really astonishing! It’s up to you and your imagination.

My blog

My first blog is about my cooperative, SSP Coop, based in Cagliari and Rome, since 2013. I translate from English and Arabic to Italian and with SSP (you can find it on FB and Linkedin, too) I’m able to customize marketing strategies, or simply blogs and sites experience.

Why not?

So, why don’t you send me an e-mail or call me via Skype? (my account is SHA3RUTHEPOET). Let’s try my services, from translation to operative marketing!
